  Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Jackie moved to Northern Kentucky in 2005 .   She began showing her work professionally in the early 80’s. At that time painting close-up florals in watercolor and plein-aire landscapes. Family obligations required  an extended leave from her art career until six years ago when she began again to work and show professionally.  Her works retains an organic feel while maintaining balance and poise, formally and emotionally, yet are notable for their overall exuberance and element of surprise. Layering various water media, she occasionally combines acrylics with charcoal and other drawing media using texturing, patterning, and sometimes collage to create her intuitively inspired works on paper or canvas.
