Bio

  Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Jackie moved to Northern Kentucky in 2005 but still works from her Cincinnati studio at The Pendleton Art Center in Over The Rhine.    She began showing her work professionally in the early 80’s. At that time painting close-up florals in watercolor and plein-aire landscapes. Family obligations required  an extended leave from her art career until six years ago when she began again to work and show professionally.  Her works retains an organic fee while maintaining balance and poise, formally and emotionally, yet are notable for their overall exuberance and element of surprise. Layering various water media, she occasionally combines acrylics with charcoal and other drawing media using texturing, patterning, and sometimes collage to create her intuitively inspired works on paper or canvas. 
   Jackie's work is represented at the Pendleton Art Gallery in Newport, Kentucky and in her studio by appointment at The Pendleton Art Center Studio 318, 1310 Pendleton St. Cincinnati, Ohio 45202, as well as during the Final Friday and Second Look Saturday Open Studio event held the last Friday and Saturday of each month
