Cave Art Series
Paintings based on Prehistoric Rock Art from around the world.
"Painted Cave I” was the first in this series. The textures and colors reminded me of rock walls. The appearance of bird forms after the charcoal was applied seemed to resemble the cave paintings of Europe. This led me to consider cave paintings as a theme for a series, which soon grew to include Prehistoric Rock Art from around the world.
